For our fundraiser treasure map events, please designate a person to collect the gil at the end, instead of depositing individually into the chest.
For a couple reasons: 1) It's nice to see how much the run got us in a lump sum 2) It will cause confusion for individual donations that count toward rank up to silver/gold/diamond
A map is NOT required to come along, just your presence in the party is what is helping with the fundraiser but it's def. welcome if you have the means to acquire one (I personally think buying a map is a waste, but that's just me) :)
I'd also like to make sure everyone understands that gil earned via the maps is part of the fundraiser and anyone who goes needs to give to the designated collector. We've had people in the past go along and pocket it all, and I find that very frustrating. I don't have a problem with people using maps to earn money for themselves, but that's not the point of the FC map event, and they can join one of the PF map groups I see every day if that's how they want to use their map. Every gil counts, and if a slot in the party is taken by someone who has no intention to donate, then I would rather take someone along who would.
I also want to point out what a boom our coffer has made in the past month 1/2, we've tripled what we had thanks to generous donations, and people's commitment to attending these map fundraiser events. THANK YOU everyone who has participated, and donated their hard earned gil to the cause, it's very very appreciated!!
The map parties are pretty fun the couple times I've gone. I was actually pretty surprised at the cash the FC makes off them. got my map ready for tonight.
